Kathmandu, April 22, 2025 —
The Budhanilkantha Municipality bid a grand farewell to the Nepal National Men’s Dodgeball Team, who are set to participate in the Tri-Nation International Dodgeball Championship 2025 to be held in Karnataka, India. The farewell and best wishes ceremony took place on Tuesday amidst a warm and encouraging atmosphere.
The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Mitharam Adhikari, Mayor of Budhanilkantha Municipality. The ceremony was also graced by several distinguished guests, including Ms. Nanda Basyal, Board Member of the National Sports Council; Mr. Nawaraj Bhattarai, Spokesperson of the Municipality and Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 10; Mr. Raju Adhikari, Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 11; Mr. Shambhu Prasad Bhattarai, Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 12; Ms. Sumitra Tripathi Pandey, Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 9; Mr. Suman Lama, Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 8 and Sports Coordinator of Budhanilkantha Municipality; Mr. Deepak Tamang, Member of the Nepal Sports Federation; Mr. Ajay Bartual, Chief Administrative Officer; and Mr. Shyam Kumar Budhathoki, Founder & Chairman of Janata Sewa Samaj Nepal, along with several parents of the players.

Prior to the championship, a Dodgeball Referee and Coach Seminar will be held on April 24 and 25, followed by the Tri-Nation International Dodgeball Championship on April 26 and 27. Teams from Nepal, India, and Malaysia will compete for the title.
