Nepal’s dodgeball team delivered an impressive performance in their first-ever international appearance, winning the bronze medal at the Triangular Dodgeball Tournament held in Karnataka, India.
The competition, held from April 25 to 27, featured teams from Nepal, India, and Malaysia. Nepal displayed outstanding skill and determination, winning one set against India despite a 3–1 loss overall. Similarly, in the match against the Malaysian Rhinos, the Nepali team showed great courage and fighting spirit, though they were defeated 5–0.
Despite limited preparation time and their debut on the international stage, the Nepali players impressed everyone with their tenacity, dedication, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Their strong showing has inspired confidence in the bright future of dodgeball in Nepal.
The Nepal Dodgeball Federation stated that the international experience gained in this tournament will be crucial as they prepare for the upcoming Asian Dodgeball Championship in Malaysia. The federation has pledged to implement a strategic development plan, including high-level training programs, to strengthen the national team and elevate Nepal’s presence in the international dodgeball arena.
